Photographing the golden eagle

The Korouoma place of wildlife photography is located on the rugged eastern edge of the Korouoma canyon. In sunny weather the edge of the canyon offers a magnificent light to shoot photos of golden eagles, foxes and smaller northern birds. The canyon’s opposite side serves as a backdrop that creates a fine impression of depth in the images. The period of using the facilities ranges from November 1^st to May 15^th.

There are two high-quality, heated huts to hide the photographers, each with separate toilet facilities. The place can be reached by a snowmobile, on skis or on foot. Each hut can accommodate up to two persons overnight.

The price is 190 € / person / day.

A snowmobile taxi to the spot costs 50 € one way.

 

Maakotkan kuvausta Korouomassa

Korouoman kuvauspaikka sijaitsee jyhkeän Korouoman itälaidalla, kanjonin reunalla. Aurinkoisella säällä uoman reunalla on upea valaistus kuvata niin maakotkia, kettuja ja korppeja kuin pienempiä pohjoisen lintuja. Kanjonin vastareuna luo kuviin hienon syvyysvaikutelman. Kuvausaika 1.11–15.5.

Kaksi laadukasta kuvauskojua on lämmitettäviä, erillisellä wc-tilalla varustettuja. Kulku kuvauspaikalle hoituu moottorikelkalla, hiihtäen tai kävellen. Kummassakin kojuissa voi yöpyä kaksi henkilöä.
